About me
Dr Olatokunbo Awodele is a Contractor Medical Director at National Government Services, Indianapolis, Indiana. She received her BA from Rutgers University and her MD, MPH from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (now Rutgers Medical School). She is currently finishing up her MBA at The University of Nebraska at Omaha.
After completing her residency in Family Medicine in 2000, she moved to Nebraska, where she practiced as a Family Physician with Obstetrics in a group setting at first, and then in a solo practice. During this time, she was also a part time physician reviewer with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) of Nebraska.
In 2008, she joined Wisconsin Physicians Services as a part time CMD and became full time in 2013 after closing her private practice. In 2017 she transitioned to National Government services. She has participated on several panels educating Medicare Providers on a wide variety of topics including but not limited to Investigative Medical Devices, Medicare Policy and the AMA CPT Assistant Editorial Board.
During the summer months, she volunteers as a medical personnel and camper placement coordinator at Teen Reach Adventure Camps (a camp for abused and neglected youth) .She just finished a three year term as the volunteer Director of TRAClife (Omaha Good News Church chapter), an at risk teen mentoring program.She is also the inaugural and current chairman of Femi’s Heart Foundation here in Omaha. She currently resides in Bennington, Nebraska as an empty nester with her husband Femi and her dog Skye.
